When Lille of France forward, Victor Osimhen found the net in the 34th minute of Nigeria’s 2-2 draw with Ukraine on September 10, 2019, the former Golden Eaglets striker became the 17th different player to score for the Super Eagles under German tactician, Gernot Rohr.

This statistic goes a long way to prove that the Eagles have not depended on a few players for the goals since September 2016 as was the case in the past.
Of the 17 players to get on the scoresheet for Nigeria, three of them, Victor Moses, John Obi Mikel and Odion Ighalo have called time on their international careers.
With 12 goals, Ighalo has scored the most number of goals, five of which came against Libya in two Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Former Arsenal star, Alex Iwobi, is the currently the highest scorer for the Super Eagles still active with seven goals to his name.
Wingers have scored the most goals (6), followed by strikers and defenders (4 each) and midfielders (3).
